2025 NYC Summer Camps (Gathering Reviews)

STREB's SLAM Summer Camp gives kids a chance to run off and join the circus! Kids will fly on a trapeze, learn STREB’s signature PopAction technique, and create & perform their very own show!

Campers will perfect their skills at Tennis Innovators. There are indoor and outdoor courts so weather won't impact a camper's day. Kids will start the day with stretching techniques, partake in drills and tennis matches and will also have free play time to enjoy additional sports and activities.

Kids in Sports Camps offer indoor and outdoor camps focusing on baseball, basketball, floor hockey, football, lacrosse, soccer, and volleyball. Campers will have a blast learning new skills and playing games emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship.

Beginner and advanced gymnasts are welcome at Industry Gymnastics' Summer Camp. Work on gymnastics skills, play fun games, and make arts and crafts.

The American Museum of Natural History introduces children to a variety of exciting science subjects. Topics may include space, geology, biology, paleontology, volcanoes, earthquakes, and more! Kids tour the museum exhibits and participate in projects and investigations!

The Central Park Zoo offers lots of opportunities to explore animals and science. All campers engage in hands-on activities and animal encounters.

Fashion Class is project-based learning centered around the business of fashion and the art of sewing and design. The summer camp teaches students how to sew, design and style their own garments and accessories, and includes fashion-related field trips and fun activities.

Get creative this summer at The Art Studio NY. Learn and explore new techniques and mediums, meet new friends, and have fun!

The Dwight School's philosophy is that each child's experience should be based on individual interests. In keeping with the philosophy, campers at Dwight Summer Day Camp will participate in a variety of activities. PreK and Kindergarten campers have diverse experiences with friends. Older campers get to choose their activities for a well-rounded camp experience. Transportation is available.

Locals offers skateboarding and surfing lessons for kids. Ocean safety is emphasized and all instructors are former or current lifeguards. During breaks, kids will play games on the beach.

The Riverside Park Conservancy has partnered with several sports providers to bring sports camps to Riverside Park. Camps include soccer, flag football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, baseball, and a multi-sport option.

This extremely popular and competitive science camp is located on the Teachers College, Columbia University campus in Morningside Heights. All lead teachers hold a master's degree from the Teacher's College. Campers learn physical, life, biological, and environmental sciences. Applications available in November.

Located on 200 acres in Rockland County, the Nature Place's summer programs highlight nature exploration and outdoor play. Days at the The Nature Place Day Camp include nature exploration, hiking, gardening, swimming, and more. Transportation is available.
