Lorelai became a young mom when Rory was born and they moved away from their family to the town of Stars Hollow. The townspeople became their surrogate family over the years. As time passes Lorelai and her parents reconnect. This fast-talking, fast-paced show is fun. So much about friendship and believing in oneself.
I'm rewatching this after having seen it all years ago. While I think it will someday be a wonderful show to watch together with my daughter, I will hold off until she is at least a young teen. Rory faces some pretty adult, college-age topics during the show. The best part for me is the quick, witty dialogue, but I think a lot of that would be lost on younger kids.
