Based on one of the best Halloween books for kids, this is a not-so-scary kids Halloween movie about a kind witch who gives rides on her broom to some animal friends, much to the annoyance of her pet cat.

Kelly R said:  My whole family liked this one and it made for a fun movie night leading up to Halloween. The cast is really great. It was a little scarier than I thought it would be, but in a good Disney-appropriate way that's fine for older kids who don't mind the spookiness.

Kelly R said:  Ghostbusters does seem to have an ageless appeal, but you might want to consider saving this Halloween movie for tweens and teens given the amount of racy content. The 1980s CGI makes a lot of it more silly than scary.

Featuring amazing stop-motion animation, young Coraline finds a door that leads to an alternate world that looks almost like her own. With some creepy visuals, this is a step up in intensity from some of the other tamer kids Halloween movies.

Kelly R said:  A workaholic real estate agent (Eddie Murphy) and his family are trapped in a spooky mansion in this movie based on the beloved Disney attraction. While it's not the best of Disney's Halloween movies for kids, fans of the attraction will enjoy picking out the many references to the ride. Aside from some spooky frights, there is a bit of language and adult content that makes it iffy for some families, so I'd recommend checking that out before deciding.

Kelly R said:  We enjoyed this for a Halloween family movie night! The Addams Family creates controversy when their unique style clashes with a nearby planned community. I found it much more family-oriented than the live-action movies, which we'll save for when the kids are a bit older.
