Definitely great for all ages, but perhaps particularly relevant for older kids and teens, given the familiar relationship challenges between the teen protagonist and her father that are at the heart of the story.

Scotty Smalls moves to the California suburbs in 1962 and tries to fit in with a group of baseball-loving boys in this obvious choice for a summer movie night with friends.

Both wholesome and hilarious, this is a wonderful modern Muppet story that will delight today's kids and the parents who grew up loving the original family movies with Kermit and the gang. The Muppets work together with human help to try to save their theater from a businessman who wants to tear it down.

Quirky kid-friendly comedy about a monastery cook who secretly becomes a luchador to support his orphanage.

Kelly R said:  This was such a blast for our family to watch together for family movie night...endless laughs for all ages, surprisingly appropriate, and so many quotable lines that we're still rattling off every day. It's also quite beautifully shot!

Kid-friendly romantic comedy about a Greek-American woman who falls in love with a non-Greek man, and the hilarious cultural clashes that ensue as their two very different families prepare for the wedding. With only mild innuendo, it's a pretty safe sleepover movie for tweens or younger teens.

Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart are hilarious in this adaptation of Jumanji, where four teens get sucked into the video game world and need to figure out how to get through its dangerous challenges in order to escape.

In the seemingly perfect world of Barbie Land, Stereotypical Barbie begins to question her existence, leading her (and Ken) on an unexpected journey of self-discovery in the real world.

A stressed single mom and her teenage daughter magically switch bodies after a fortune cookie mishap, forcing them to walk a mile in each other's shoes with hilarious and eye-opening results. 

Everything is awesome when an unlikely LEGO hero finds himself tasked with saving the word from an evil tyrant.
