The Princess Bride (1987)
Action, adventure, pirates, sword-fighting, magic, and, yes, kissing all mash up in the fairytale-esque story of The Princess Bride. It's inconceivable!
Alexandra F. said: I'll never forget when I first watched this movie with my then 9- and 11-year-olds, and seeing their faces mirror Fred Savage's exactly as they began to hear the love story unfold - wary and more than a little skeptical. Never fear! Though it is indeed a story about true love, it is also filled with adventure, sword fights, giants and pirates. Oh. And R.O.U.S. (Rodents of Unusual Size). This movie is hilarious - your tweens & teens will love it.

Inside Out (2015)
A girl's struggle to cope with a family move across the country, played out by the emotions within her - Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, Anger.
Michael Farina said: This movie is so much fun! I love that the message deals with embracing sadness, especially as it relates to memories that we can't relive.
Cool Runnings (1993)
Loosely based on the story of Jamaica's first Olympic bobsled team, it's a quirky, positive and funny sports movie that encourages following your dreams.
Kelly R said: Sports movies are a great way to help teach kids about the importance of teamwork and perseverance, and this one has John Candy!

The Muppets (2011)
Both wholesome and hilarious, this is a wonderful modern Muppet story that will delight today's kids and the parents who grew up loving the original family movies with Kermit and the gang. The Muppets work together with human help to try to save their theater from a businessman who wants to tear it down.

The Wild Robot (2024)
Fans of the popular Wild Robot book won't want to miss the movie, now on Netflix! The story is about a shipwrecked robot that washes ashore on a deserted island.

Ron’s Gone Wrong (2021)
A middle school boy finally has a robot "best friend" just like all the other kids, but his came with a few quirks...
Kelly R said: We've watched this movie twice already, once for a tween boy sleepover, so I'd say it's a hit with all ages!

Spirited Away (2001)
Spirited Away is a Studio Ghibli classic about a young girl who enters a magical spirit world and must find her way back home.
Christian Fung said: During her family's move to the suburbs, a sullen 10-year-old girl wanders into a world ruled by gods, witches and spirits, and where humans are changed into beasts. Widely considered the greatest animated movie of all time.

Home (2015)
Aliens take over the Earth and relocate the entire human population, except for 12-year-old Tip (voiced by Rihanna), who manages to avoid capture. Clever and relatable Tip tries to reunite with her mother alongside a misfit alien, and the two form an unlikely friendship. It's a sweet and colorful movie, and the first 3D animated film to feature a black lead.
Amy S. said: Jim Parsons is brilliant as the voice of Oh, and my kids get up and dance when Rihanna’s “Dancing in the Dark” comes on. This movie is irresistible.
Jungle Cruise (2021)
Kelly R said: Jungle Cruise is a wildly good time and filled to the brim with cheesy puns, just like its namesake ride at Disney. We're big fans of the ride and the movie totally did it justice! The rating is mainly for action/violence and some creepy imagery, which was ok for my 8 and 11 year olds.

Orion and the Dark (2024)
Now streaming on Netflix, Orion is whisked away on an adventure by the embodiment of his biggest fear: the dark.
Mommyx3 (Monique H) said: We watched this movie for one of our family movie nights and absolutely loved it! This movie is about a little boy who is terrified of the dark and with the help of some "special friends" he finds a way to face his fears and overcome them as well. Its such a special movie I feel all children should witness :)

Wonka (2023)
Timothée Chalamet steps into the role of Willy Wonka in this fantastical origin story about how the young Wonka came to be the world's most famous, magical chocolate-maker.
Kelly R said: Creative and fun to watch, with plenty of musical numbers that had us listening to the soundtrack right after we saw the movie. And the least creepy Willy Wonka yet!
Togo (2019)
Amy S. said: An inspiring movie about an amazing animal! Togo tells the true story of a champion dogsled trainer and his lead sled dog, Togo. Together, they lead a team of sled dogs across Alaska to deliver medicine to a small town that is suffering from a diphtheria outbreak. Compelling story, stunning visuals, and a dog who will win your heart—just be ready for a few tears!

Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero (2018)
Jaclyn Keifer said: Such a delightful movie for all of the family. My younger ones don’t always do well with scary or violent things but this movie handled various scenes well. I love that it was based on a true story. The kids have requested to watch it many times and I don’t mind seeing it over and over- what a great message about bravery and dedication.
