As a Harry Potter fan I prefer the Universal Studios in Florida, since it has two Harry Potter lands (rather than the single one in Hollywood), but this is still a fun destination for families visiting LA, as well as locals.
Went there as a kid and loved it! I got picked to "ride" the bike from ET. They projected me flying on the big screen. It was the coolest thing ever as a 10yo kid.
