The 39 Clues Series
Age 8-11
This series is a collaborative effort from favorite young adult authors (like Rick Riordan and Gordon Korman). The adventure fiction books star siblings that traverse across the globe searching for clues to piece together their family's mystery. This is a great book series for fourth graders to sink their teeth into as it will keep them engaged and reading for a long time!
We really enjoyed the first 9 books in the 39 Clues series. After that, the 6-book Cahills vs. Vespers followed by the four-book series, the other four-book series, and the other loose books... let me just recommend that you don't approach this series with a competionist-mindset.
This sounds similar to Magic Tree House but for older kids. My son would love this!
