What do you do when children talk in a different voice? (do you encourage or do you discourage?)

My question comes from different shows children watch, they start talking like the characters from shows. Is it something we should ignore and let pass or do you think its beneficial to correct children when you hear them speak like this.

This seems like a "there's a time and a place" issue to me. I think it is fun (and good!) for kids to express themselves in silly or creative ways BUT not at school, when the pediatrician asks them a question, etc. I would probably make a "silly voices stay home" rule.

My little one watches too much Peppa Pig, but I like her new British accent.
