Many kids have allergies or sensitivities that might make candy less desirable. When thinking of offering candy and an alternative "treat," what might be the best alternative for the trick-or-treaters?

I have found glow sticks to be universally desired by kids of all ages, especially when spending anytime outside after dark (like, perhaps, trick-or-treating?)!

I agree! Glow sticks and any kind of glow product are huge hits for all ages.

What a great idea! I hadn't even thought of it, but it's perfect for Halloween! My kids would love this too!

It never occurred to me until my neighbor broke them out once at a block party, and all the kids (from toddlers to tweens) went wild! Plus, it was a great way to keep track of them in the dark - bonus!

We handed out snack bags of Pirate's Booty & Muddy Buddy's last year, and were surprised by how excited the kids were to get non-candy treats. We used the leftovers in the kids' school lunches.

I think my little ones would prefer washable tattoos, but I would love to hear from other folks!

Glow sticks are great for kids, esp for all the after dark Fall and Winter events. We also used to use them during power outages after dark to have an indoor light show. They look super cool when waving fast through the air.

My kids love glow sticks all year round, so they're ideal for Halloween, too.

When my kids were little they’d go crazy for the small toys that some neighbors would offer.

I noticed the last few years a lot of people give out little glow sticks and bc of it the kids get to many of them. I don't care for the tiny ones they give especially for toddlers they're dangerous.
