Does your young child have an obsession?
It seems like most kiddos go through one or more phases of obsession. (If you’ve ever checked out every single superhero book from the library, you know what I mean!) Has your child latched onto something super specific? Tell us in the comments!

When my youngest was a toddler, he was obsessed with Spiderman. To the point he had to be called Spiderman instead of his name. And he had to wear his Spiderman costume and read Spiderman books all the time. It was cute but I am glad he outgrew it.

My daughter latched on to dolls at 11 months and hasn't gone anywhere without a "baby" since (now almost 3). Every play scenario revolves around mommies taking care of babies and she has an eagle eye for spotting dolls everywhere we go.

That's adorable! I'll bet she'll be a great mama someday. It'll be fun to see where those maternal instincts take her!

My first son was obsessed with Lightning McQueen and the Cars movie when he was just about 2.5. It was Cars all day every day. When it was time to potty train he was still loving Matchbox cars so I bought a ton of cars to use as incentive and it totally worked. Best $50 I ever spent at Target!

That's brilliant! We're nearing the potty training phase, and I'm still not sure what will be most motivating. You're lucky you had such a clear (and inexpensive) choice!

I was super lucky with him and the timing. I'm still grateful it worked as well as it did.

My oldest always liked Lightning McQueen too and the Cars movies. It was cute and he ended up getting a red race car toddler bed.

My oldest was obsessed with Sesame Street, not a particular character just the show in general. He wanted to watch it all day long, play with toys, sleep with the stuffed animals, wear clothes with the characters on them, etc. My next guy fell in love with Mickey Mouse. Same story. And my daughter had a love for Minnie. It’s a cute phase they go through.

I think it’s so interesting how they latch onto completely different things!

When my now 8-year-old was a toddler, it was construction 24/7! Now that he's older, he still loves everything construction-related, but he doesn't insist on taking excavators to bed with him anymore!

Not sure if we can count it as an obsession yet, but my daughter lights up every time Elmo shows up on the screen, or if she hears the theme to Elmo's World!

My five year old has loved dinosaurs since she was 2! It was a rough day in our house when I had to tell her dinosaurs are no longer around....at age 3 she really thought we could go see some at the zoo :)

My little one adores Paw Patrol cartoon...Now I know their main theme song by heart :)

Does it count if I’m obsessed with Daniel Tiger, and my little one goes along with it???
