Snow Tubing & Sledding Near Columbus, Mapped

Hannah Scott:  If you find yourself in the Short North, head to Goodale Park for some sledding action. You'll find short, but steep hills located near Buttles Avenue. Note that parking is limited, so you may need to take advantage of metered street parking nearby.

Hannah Scott:  You'll find the sledding hill at Scioto Audubon Metro Park located between the recreation fields and the bocce court, near the obstacle course.

Hannah Scott:  Make your way behind the playground to find a small sledding hill that's perfect for little legs! Schiller Park is conveniently located in German Village, so take advantage of the proximity and go grab a coffee or hot chocolate when you're ready to warm up.

Hannah Scott:  A step up from the little hills, Wyman Woods Park has a decent-sized sledding hill to enjoy. Restrooms are available on the premises, but parking may be a bit limited if other people plan to enjoy the hill as well.

Hannah Scott:  Clinton-Como Park boasts a sledding hill that's long, but not difficult -- great for kids who don't want a major thrill, but are big enough to handle more than the tiny "bunny slopes."

Hannah Scott:  Two "official" hills are available for sledding at Whetstone, but the entire park is set on rolling hills so you can scope out one of many other options! Ample parking and restrooms are available, and the Whetstone Library and Whetstone Recreation Center are typically open during daylight hours if you need to take a few minutes to thaw out.

Hannah Scott:  The small hills at Kenney Park are perfect for less adventurous sledding -- enough of an incline to catch a bit of wind, but not so much that anyone feels out of control. Access to the park can be found west of the Kroger Marketplace.

Kelly R:  The sledding hill is located near Backpacking Site #2.

Hannah Scott:  Big Run Park offers a unique sledding hill with two different terrains. The more adventurous can ride the bumpy side while the more cautious can stick to the smooth side. This is the perfect compromise if you have multiple children at different levels of sledding comfort or experience! Just be aware that restrooms are not guaranteed to be open.

Hannah Scott:  Antrim Park has a shorter sledding hill that may be best suited for smaller kids who aren't quite ready to tackle the larger, steeper hills this year. Parents will be thankful for a shorter climb back to the top as well! (You're welcome.)

Kelly R:  Huntley Bowl Park serves as a retention basin for rainwater, and in the winter months it offers sledding. There are picnic tables as well as a parking lot at the top of the bowl.

Hannah Scott:  This community-owned park is all about bringing people together...and residents sure do flock for the sledding hill!

Kelly R:  Fryer Park has a hill that is used for sledding in the winter, and for movie watching in the summer!

Hannah Scott:  The Olentangy River Parklands has a variety of sledding hills to choose from: small and gentle (near the tennis courts), medium size and difficulty (for sledding and snowboarding), and a drop for daredevils near Wilson Bridge Road (which isn't safe to send your kids on). One of the best perks of this hill is the hay bales set up around obstacles to keep erratic sleds from serious collisions.

Kelly R:  Sharon Woods Metro Park has two sledding hills, one of which is a bunny hill for small children. The entrance is located a short distance north of the main park entrance.
