The Hopkinton Center for the Arts
The Hopkinton Center for the Arts provides year-round classes in the visual and performing arts. Experienced instructors lead the classes, which are specifically designed for different age groups and interests. Kids can take classes to learn how to paint, knit, sew, make ceramics, and more.
Hopkinton, MAPlaster Fun Time
Plaster Fun Time has several convenient locations and is a great place for kids to drop-in for some creative fun. All of the items painted are plaster which makes them easy to work with as the paint dries quickly and projects are ready to go home that day. Finished items are sealed with a polyurethane spray that creates the appearance that it has been fired in a kiln, but without the wait.
Framingham, MABrush and Easel Inc.
Brush and Easel Inc. offers drawing and painting classes for kids in 4 ages ranges. The youngest groups of artists will use pencils, charcoal, ink, pastels, collage, watercolors, and acrylic to explore the basic principles of visual composition and drawing in a fun and playful way. The next level of artists will use imagination, observation, and experimentation to work with different color mediums to complete both individual and group projects. The most advanced group will learn from hands-on creating, lectures, and critiques.
Sudbury, MAThe Glass Bar
Check out the drop-in classes for fused glass art offered at The Glass Bar. When you attend a class you will first pick out the size of your project and learn how to cut and grind the glass as well as glass safety. Then, let the brainstorming begin and start creating your unique design to make a beautiful piece of art to treasure.

This super fun place offers a choice of drop-in activities for kids including plaster, pottery and canvas painting as well as candle making, clay impressions and mining for gems!
Needham, MANicole's Art Spot
Nicole's Art Spot offers drop-in hours for kids who want to explore a variety of arts and crafts. Kids can choose from projects such as painting a silk sun-catcher, painting a tote bag, or hand sewing a stuffed animal, pillow or bag. Little artists can also learn to knit or paint with watercolor and tempera paints.
Needham Heights, MANew Art Center
New Art Center offers a wide range of art classes for kids. They feature new projects each term. Class options include Sketch and Cartooning, Woodworking, Sketching and Painting, Arts Exploration, Art Around the World, and Ceramics.

Plein-Air-Academy offers a unique art experience for kids. Students in their classes will split their time between learning art outdoors in the beautiful parks around Boston and studying technique in the studio. Students will enjoy sketching, painting, collage work and clay, and other media.
Boston, MAThe Eliot School
The Eliot School strives to inspire lifelong learning in art and creativity. They pride themselves on offering small and welcoming classes for students ranging from beginners to advanced. They offer a wide variety of art and craft classes for kids. Classes include Adventures in Art, Comics, Drawing & Painting, Fantastic Photography, Woodworking, Sewing, and Young Fashion Designers.
Jamaica Plain, MAIndigo Fire Studio
Indigo Fire Studio offers classes, workshops and camps in pottery making. All classes run for eight consecutive weeks and are two hours long. You need to be at least 10 to use the pottery wheel and kids under 14 need to have an adult present. Once you start using the pottery wheel, you get "studio privileges." This means you can use the wheel to learn your craft anytime the studio is open.
