This race for a good cause is an awesome activity for kids of all ages! Kids and parents have the choice of running/walking a 5K; younger kids can run a chip-timed 1 mile race or a 200 yard dash. This is a great way to develop a love for running and racing with very young kids, all while helping the Comer Children's Hospital at the University of Chicago. Additional fundraising is encouraged but not required.

Biking enthusiasts grab your helmets for this family-friendly ride down Ridge Avenue from Howard Street to Church Street. Ridge Avenue will be closed to motorized traffic for the entirety of the event, leaving cyclists plenty of room to enjoy the views of the picturesque houses along the route. Cyclists are encouraged to decorate their bikes and dress festively. Additional activities include music, food vendors, bike repair, bike decorating, bike accessory giveaways & more!

Brookfield Zoo Run
Runners, joggers, walkers, and animal enthusiasts of all ages can connect with nature while supporting the mission of the Brookfield Zoo. The 5K chip-timed race kicks off at 8:30am, followed by the 1-mile Kids Dash at 9:30am. Both routes wind through the Zoo, giving racers a unique opportunity to run past several of the Zoo’s animals, including African lions, bison, giraffes, and Bactrian camels. Afterwards, runners and their support teams can leisurely explore the park to see their favorite animals. Proceeds benefit Brookfield Zoo Chicago’s Animal Care and Conservation Fund, which is dedicated to making a difference for species across the globe and at the Zoo.
