We watched it for family movie night at my first grader's request, and it was a fun trip down memory lane, as my husband and I both remember watching it when we were in elementary school. I was surprised by how sad my preschooler got when Wilbur first found out he was destined to be killed, so beware for sensitive younger kids who don't already know there will be a (mostly) happy ending!

Rookie of the Year is a classic family sports movie about a 12-year-old boy whose broken arm heals with the ability to pitch at 100 miles per hour. He becomes a star player for the Chicago Cubs in a heartwarming story about a kid living out his dreams. Definitely worth catching this full length Disney movie while it is free on YouTube!
