Family Halloween Events in LA & OC (Map + Calendar)

Join the rollicking costume parades, take a thrilling trike ride through a spooky house, and craft an enchanting elixir at Kidspace Halloween Bash.

A Faery Hunt shows are interactive, immersive performances designed for young audiences and their families to inspire creativity, imagination, and fun. You’ll meet faeries and funny creatures, maybe even Faery Royalty! Many children come in costume.

The Halloween spirit will be in full swing for two frightfully fun weekends at the L.A. Zoo, with trick-or-treating stations featuring premium candy, plus animal pumpkin feedings, themed photo ops, education stations, and more. Costumes are encouraged!

Enjoy a not-so-spooky celebration full of singing, dancing, and sensory play—where Halloween magic is in the air and sweet memories are made!

This charming Rudie-DeCarlo holiday classic enlists the audience’s aid in helping the aptly named Candy, a sweet young girl who goes on a magical adventure to save everyone’s favorite holiday for one more year.

Race a pumpkin down Manhattan Beach Boulevard and take part in the spectacle of the Manhattan Beach Pier area transformed into Pumpkin Race Land, where creativity runs wild. The Pumpkin Race Festival is a free event where you and your family can enjoy fun activities for all ages, make your own pumpkin racer and enjoy this fun and unusual Halloween event!

Alexandra F. said:  24th Street Theatre’s annual Dia de los Muertos block party returns as a live, in-person event, headlined by Mexican composer & rock star Jaime López and joined by plenty of lively entertainment on the outdoor stage. The evening kicks off with a procession led by ceremonial dancers, Los Chinelos - come in costume! You'll also enjoy homemade tamales, craft booths and a cemetery where families can make their own altars for departed loved ones.

Masks are required regardless of vaccination status, and covid vaccinations and health screenings will be available on site. Please note that neighborhood parking is limited.
