Alexandra F. said:  This retelling of Dickens' classic was my absolute favorite growing up, not least of all because it starred my favorite Disney animated characters. At only about 30 minutes long, it's short enough to keep even very young kids entertained, though I will note that more sensitive younger viewers might find the ghost of Christmas future a touch scary, so be ready if that's your little one!

The Muppets put their spin on the Charles Dickens Christmas classic. Because Muppets (and musicals) make everything better.

Vanessa M. said:  My family gets together and watches this every Christmas Eve! I love that in spite of being a kids movie, it stays pretty true to the dialogue and storyline of the Charles Dickens novel. Just a tad funnier!

An original backstory about how the legend of Santa came to be, Klaus is the beautifully animated and beautifully told story of an unlikely friendship between a reluctant postman and a reclusive toymaker. It focuses on the spirit of giving rather than magic and elves, and is filled with funny and poignant moments.

Not only does Arthur Christmas fully embrace the story of Santa in a delightfully modern way, it also explains how he manages to deliver all of those presents in one night! Santa is a title passed down through the family, and the current Santa has two very different sons in line for the job. It's a funny and personality-filled Christmas movie that doesn't spoil Santa and will appeal to the entire family.

Kelly R said:  Follow the elves who work in Santa's elite Prep and Landing unit. Smart dialogue and great animation make this a hit with my whole family. There are 3 short Christmas specials for kids in this Disney series, and they're perfect for when we don't have time to watch a full-length Christmas movie.

A modern musical retelling of A Christmas Carol, where the Ghost of Christmas Present takes on a cynical media consultant, hoping to redeem his soul.

Kelly R said:  The year Spirited came out, all of the holiday movies in our usual rotation were forgotten while we rewatched it over and over. It's the perfect Christmas movie for teens and older kids who can handle some iffy content, and we subscribe to Apple TV each November and December mainly just for this.

Kelly R said:  This holiday special totally hit the spot for our family of Guardians of the Galaxy fans. The Kevin Bacon scenes are gold.

New family Christmas movie based on the silly classic book about an unlikely bunch of siblings who take over an annual Christmas pageant.

Erika Roh... said:  As a self-proclaimed non-believer in Santa Claus, Scott has a chance encounter with Santa as he falls off of Scott's roof! Since it's Christmas Eve, he has no choice but to take the reins and finish Santa's job. This funny, heartwarming comedy is the perfect Christmas movie for kids, even at the "questioning" age, as it solidifies the power of the belief.
