What are some ideas for free kids activities?
As a busy working mom of three, I am always looking for free things to do with kids to keep everyone busy and having fun, without going over our set activity budget. Do you have certain go-to activities, places to go or suggestions for a fun activity that doesn't break the bank?

Cook together! This is an activity my kids have loved at every age from toddler to tween, and the bonus is you end up with a yummy (usually!) meal or treat at the end of it.

Sit around backyard campire (firepit); toast up s'mores; catch and release lighting bugs; stargaze

Many pubic libraries either have play places or offer free activities for kids.

Libraries are the best! Free books, movies, toys to check out and to play with there - what’s not to love? Some even offer passes to local museums for residents.

Take a tour of a local firehouse. Many offer free tours if you call ahead and ask.

There are many pubic parks so going to a new town or even city center is a great way to burn off some energy and make new memories.

Several national and local chain restaurants will offer kids eat free deals at least one time a week and sometimes more.
