I find that having a variety of soft snacks for braces on hand helps my kid better cope with missing out on his usual crunchy favorites. Recommendations from fellow parents are so helpful when it comes to braces must haves, so let's build a list of food inspiration!
What are the go-to braces snacks in your house?

Granola/snack bars that are not too crunchy or chewy are good snacks for braces, like Clif Kids Z bars or Larabars

Good to know!! Our orthodontist included certain raw fruits and veggies in our "stay away" list, but it's so hard to say "no" when your kid wants fresh fruit as a snack! But, avoiding broken brackets is an excellent motivator. :)

Chicken nuggets are good. My kid tends to eat pretty light at mealtime when his teeth are sore, so it's nice to have some more hearty snacks for braces. They are especially easy if you have an air fryer or toaster oven.

Olives are braces friendly snacks! Trader Joe's sells small individual serving packs of pitted olives that are good for taking on the go.
