What is your favorite gift to give parents of a newborn?
-
I usually try to buy clothing a few sizes larger than NB, that way the parents don't have a ton of tiny clothes baby will outgrow quickly.
-
Yes! As cute as the tiny clothes are, my kids blew right through the newborn sized outfits. I like to give 9-12 month outfits because for some reason I always ran short on baby clothes in that size.

I like to drop off a homemade meal to friends and family with a new baby. If their freezer allows, I also drop off a few freezer meals they can pop into the oven or slow cooker whenever they need!
-
That's such a good idea. I've always brought food over but I hadn't thought to do a freezer meal for the slow cooker.

Excellent idea! My Moms group has a Helping Hands where people sign up for meals to bring you after you have a baby. These meals were SO helpful! We could usually eat the leftovers the next day too.

I like to give a basket of baby care supplies that you constantly need - wipes, bottle brushes, bath toys, bath soap, etc. It's not a personal gift by any means but helpful. When I was a new mom I appreciated having an extra bottle of baby soap or bottle brush in my closet because I felt like I always ran out or needed to replace them at the most inconvenient times.

I was so overwhelmed by all the baby clothes I received as gifts when mine were little! Baby clothes are the cutest, so I totally get it, but if I buy clothes (which I usually avoid) I stick with sleepers and sleep sacks.

All of my kids received such cute, personalized gifts when they were born. Picture frames, burp clothes, bathroom stool, blankets, stuffed animals, hand knit sweaters. After seeing such cute stuff, I decided to buy something personalized that will match the nursery colors for new parents.
