For families that celebrate Thanksgiving, there's always the traditional turkey & fixins meal, but not everyone goes for a whole turkey with sides. When I was a kid, we made lasagna the tradition for a few years. Now, I don't eat meat, so both my sister and I will have a turkey alternative.

What food does your family usually enjoy for the holiday?

I'm a pescatarian so only cook fish and non-meat items year-round, no matter what. My kids eat meat at family members, school and in restaurants. Most times though, they prefer non-meat menu items! A holiday favorite for me to cook has always been vegetable lasagna.

I eat a mostly plant-based diet, but my kids have the freedom to choose outside of the home, too!
