Parents, what is your caffeine of choice?
It goes without saying that most parents need caffeine on a regular basis, because, kids. Caffeine allows us to be energized to get through the many demands of parenthood, even if we are not getting adequate sleep. Caffeine comes in many products, but what is your favorite way to get your caffeine fix?

Coffee brings me such comfort and happiness, I have absolutely no qualms about my habit! :)
-
Agreed! I just try to drink an equal amount of water throughout the day, which I'm not always great at. I don't find that coffee propels me through the day, but I really love how it tastes so I always start my day off with some cold brew :)

I always thought the coffee-dependence thing was just a joke before I had kids, but now it all makes sense as I'm basically addicted.
-
I love coffee any time of day but that first cup in the morning is the best, especially if the kids are already off to school or still sleeping.

Coffee. I cut out Diet Coke 5 years ago and since that time have never had soda ever again . I will drink tea at times but it is always non-caffeinated.
-
Wow, that's impressive. I cut out soda a few years ago too but I have an occasional Diet Pepsi.

I've been a tea drinker since forever, and then this summer I met and fell in love with a special someone called Iced Coffee. I finally get the whole "coffee love" thing now!

I don't drink coffee because I don't like the taste. My vice is Diet Coke. I know it's horrible for you, but I'm addicted and can't seem to give it up. When I'm at home I only drink one can a day, but when I'm out at a restaurant (weekends usually), I'll have several refills (fountain is so much better). Maybe one day I can get the courage to give it up, but until then I'll stick with it for my caffeine fix.

If I order a Diet Pepsi at a restaurant I definitely get refills. There's just something about a fountain soda over lots of ice!

I used to have one Diet Coke a day, but gave it up when I was pregnant with my first baby and never picked it up again. That’s one way to quit a habit! :)

It's ironic I posted this topic because I have a very low tolerance for caffeine. I do like iced decaf coffee and herbal tea. If I really need a pick-me-up, a splash of regular coffee will do the trick. If I have too much caffeine, I get very jittery and can't sleep well for a couple days. I wish I tolerated caffeine better!
