We know reading is great for our kids, and often read books to our children every day. But what about you, Mom and Dad? Reading is good for grown-ups too, and a great way to unwind and relax. How often do you make time to read books YOU enjoy?

I wish I read more often! I always end up in front of the TV during nap time because I feel like I deserve a break where I don't have to think. But if I can find a book I love, I have trouble ever putting it down, so I tend to read them fast!

I used to read for hours a day, and finish a couple of novels per week. Now I work way too much as I am close to buying a house. I hope to get back to reading soon - I miss it.

I used to be an avid reader too, but with toddlers and work it's really hard to find time. I am hoping my next vacation will present more down time to read.

I read every day, usually right before going to sleep. Even if I'm out late I read before bed because it relaxes me and has been a part of my routine for so long.

I'm the same, I read almost every night before bed. It's a good way to wind down and relax before falling asleep.

I almost never get to watch TV in my house (husband and his sports), so reading is my go-to during downtime.

I find it difficult to go to sleep without reading at least a few pages every night. Progress can be slow, but slow and steady is better than nothing!

Agreed, reading is a must for me before going to sleep, and would choose it over TV or any other winding down activity any day.

I guess I go through spurts where I'll read 5 or 6 books in a row and then go on hiatus for a couple of months. I do wish I made more time to read though.
