Cozy Cat Cottage Book Buddies Reading Program
Katie G. said: Elementary age kids are welcome to Cozy Cat Cottage to participate in their Book Buddies Reading Program. Kids can work on their reading skills by reading books to the cats at the adoption center. They are sure to get lots of snuggles and love from their new, furry friends. Children can bring their own books or choose from one at the center. Registration is required and an adult must remain with your child during your visit.

Targeted training is provided for people who want to become regular volunteers, but one-time volunteer opportunities can be arranged as well. Tasks include dog care, cat care, rabbit care, administrative assistance, events, etc. If you want to become a regular volunteer and enroll in the training program, a one-time donation of $30 is expected.

Open to kids entering grades 8 through 12, the ZooAid Program is awarded to a select group of kids who demonstrate leadership, maturity, professionalism and knowledge of animals. This program focuses on the customer service side of the Zoo so teens will be interacting with guests, while learning about animals. Teens will "work" during the summer months.
