Columbus Touch-A-Truck Events That Fuel the Fun

Children can touch, see, interact with, and learn about vehicles they regularly see in the community, including a fire truck, police cruiser, construction equipment, etc.

9:30-11:30am

Cops & Kids Day is designed to build relationships between law enforcement and the community. Cruisers, helicopters, motorcycles, tactical vehicles, and K-9s will be on display. Kids are also able to participate in arts and crafts, inflatable gyms, and other activities.

The City of Marysville Touch a Truck event is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for kids of all ages to explore a variety of construction, emergency, and service vehicles. Attendees will have the chance to meet and interact with the City employees who operate these impressive machines.

10am-1pm

Welcome spring in style at this annual Spring Fling family event featuring a Touch a Truck! Kids and adults alike can explore various city services and safety vehicles, and meet the people who bring outstanding services to the community. Additional highlights include inflatables, food trucks, arts & crafts, music and more. 

11am-2pm

The Plain Township Fire Department and the Firefighter’s Local 3850 invite you to join them to meet their firefighters, tour fire trucks, and learn about fire safety! Enjoy fun activities and demonstrations.

10am-3pm

Kids can check out fire engines, snow plows, street sweepers and the sewer camera truck at New Albany's touch-a-truck event! The first hour is designated as sensory friendly.

9am-12:30pm

Climb, touch, and take a photo with the trucks you see daily in the community. Get your own construction vest and enjoy inflatables, a spotted dog strolling character, a Norwich Township fire truck, a Hilliard Police cruiser, tow trucks, a semi, and more!

10am-12pm

Step back into the 1840s and enjoy touch-a-tractor, crafts, archery, games, carriage rides, and much more!

Come by the Pickerington Community Pool parking lot to see all your favorite trucks and equipment. Kids will be able to see the ins and outs of all vehicles and receive a free Kids Driver's License.

The annual Delaware County EMS Touch-A-Truck features various vehicles, including police cruisers, dump trucks, logging and tree trucks, farm equipment, and many others. Agencies from across Delaware County will be represented with the opportunity to meet many local first responders!

9am-1pm

The State Fire Marshal’s office has a Fire Marshal Festival that includes inflatable’s, food vendors, antique fire trucks, helicopter landings and many other items. 

10am-3pm

COSI, the Ohio Contractors’ Association, and the Local 18 Operating Engineers invite kids and adults alike to explore the annual Science of Big Machines exhibit! For over 20 years, guests have been able to experience the exciting science and technology of construction by climbing inside real pieces of machinery and operating them first-hand. Participants will be able to learn more about construction careers from various industry professionals and real operating engineers.

Head to the outdoor Polaris Lifestyle Center space (near Benihana, COhatch, and Cheesecake Factory) for a Touch-A-Truck event. Programming will include an interactive truck playground for families and children to get up close to their favorite vehicles – and other family friendly entertainment! Food trucks will be onsite.
