Dawn Denning said:  Simon Moon Park offers fun year round, but "the hill" is a fun time for all sizes and ages when it is snowy outside. The park only allows sleds- no snowboards or skis. They have bathroom facilities for all to use, and a lot of parking and picnic tables for you to rest your cold feet. If your kiddos get tired of sledding down the hill, there are playgrounds on site and paved hiking trails for a family stroll. If you want to plan ahead, there is also a shelter available for rent to stay warm while your kiddos play in the snow.

There is even a gradual walkway up the hill to make the trek to the top easier for both kids and parents. Along with a playground and restroom facilities, your kiddos can have tons of fun for hours.

Dawn Denning said:  Sports are the rule in the summer, but in the winter.... Hummel Park is the place to sled! The largest hill in Hendricks County, there is room for the whole family to jump on sleds and have a great time together. After enjoying the ride, take a walk around the trails or play on the playground to burn the last bit of energy. There is also enough open space to build a snowman or just lie in the snow and make snow angels. Too cold to go outside for mom or dad? If you want to stay warm, you can sit in your car and watch the kiddos go up and down the hill.

There is a family pavilion available for you and your sledders when you need to take a break from walking up the hill. The park also offers 2 miles of hiking trails, playgrounds for the kids and shelters to rent.
