Texas Skatium
Stephanie W.: Texas Skatium loves special events that will make your skate experience unique! They have Cheap Skate Nights, Family Fun Fitness Skate Days (strollers welcome!), and a Friday Night Pizza Party special, where pizza is included in a discounted price. Plenty of birthday party options are available as well, even one that includes their bounce house room!
Cost: $5-$6 admission, $3-$4 skate rentals.
Thunderbird Roller Rink
Stephanie W.: Check out Thunderbird Roller Rink the next time you're in Plano on a rainy day! It's got a great atmosphere and is committed to providing fun for all ages. They provide 4 days a week of public skate times, as well as Saturday morning skating lessons for just $10 per person!
Cost: $6 admission, $2-$5 skate rental.
Dad's Broadway Skateland
Stephanie W.: Mesquite's own Dad's Broadway Skateland has been serving the area for over 40 years. They provide skating lessons that last an hour, and included in the lesson price is free admission to the afternoon open skate session! Open Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, they offer $2 entry on Tuesday nights if you're looking for an after school activity to keep the kids busy, and on Sundays, parents skate free with paid child admission!
Cost: $2-$7 admission. $1 regular skate rental, $3 rollerblade or speed skate rental.
Westlake Skate Center
Stephanie W.: Along with plenty of opportunities for public skating, Westlake Skate Center participates in Social Skate! This is a fun opportunity to compete against other skaters in your age range and show off your ability, creativity and originality. Social Skate takes place in rinks all over the Metroplex!
Cost: $3-$8. Admission fee includes regular skate rental. $3 for inline and speed skates, $5 for skate buddies.
Southern Skates Roller Rink
Stephanie W.: Southern Skates Roller Rink is the classic roller rink you remember from when we were kids! It has everything you need for a fun time skating- skate and rollerblade rentals and a snack bar with hot dogs and pizza!
Cost: $3 admission before 5pm, $5 admission after 5pm. $3 for rental skates or blades.
Interskate Roller Rink
Stephanie W.: Interskate Roller Rink knows how to party! They have an awesome sound system, 9 disco balls, and almost 800 brightly colored track lights. Its rink can accommodate 1,000 skaters, meaning you never have to worry about things getting too crowded. They also have a snack bar with a full menu and large dining area that holds over 200 people, as well as a new arcade area with lots of great games to play!
Cost: $4-$8 admission, $5 skate rental.
Redbird Skateland
Stephanie W.: Redbird Skateland has been family owned and operated for over 40 years. So it makes sense that they would offer skate times for everyone! They have Toddler Skate times on Thursday mornings, adult only skates (for when you need a break from the kids!), Thrifty Thursday night skates with discounted entry, and Open Skate afternoons and evenings during the weekend.
Cost: $3-$8 admission, includes skate rental. $5 entry for children under 5 on Open Skate nights.
Cedar Hill Roller Rink
Stephanie W.: Cedar Hill has its own roller rink with everything you're looking for to have a memorable afternoon or night of skating! They have excellent customer service and are a big hit in the neighborhood. Located in Historic Downtown, you'll find this rink on Main Street. They have blacklit glow nights, and are one of several rinks in DFW to host Social Skate!
Cost: $7 admission, includes skate rental.
SkateTown
Stephanie W.: SkateTown has so much to offer! They have public skate times as well as offering homeschool and toddler skate times each month, with skate trainers available to help little ones learn how to balance on their skates. They also offer skating lessons, both beginner and private lessons!
Cost: $6 admission, $3 skate rental.
Forum Roller World
Stephanie W.: Look at those lights! Forum Roller World provides a fun atmosphere with plenty of LEDs that light up the room. They have 25,000 square feet of skating space, plus a snack bar. They offer birthday party packages and set aside certain nights for private parties. Make your excursion a family affair- Sunday Family Fun Day Specials offer discounted admission for 4 people and includes skate rentals, 4 drinks and a large pizza in the price!
Cost: $2-$7 Admission, $2-$5 skate rental. Sunday Family Fun Day $25.
Arlington Skatium
Stephanie W.: Arlington Skatium is the largest roller rink in Texas! It has some unique opportunities for not only kids but parents as well- check out the awesome Stroller Skate that takes place once a month, or specific skate time set aside for homeschooled kids! They also do Glow Nights regularly, and the first twenty people to enter get a free glow stick to skate with. This roller rink also has a large arcade when kids need a break from skating, as well as a snack bar!
Cost: $7 admission, $2 for basic skates, $3 for inlines. Adults not skating will not be charged to enter.
Mountasia Family Fun Center - Summit Skate
Shila: Mountasia Family Fun Center has many attractions: go-karts, bumper boats, laser tag, arcades, kid's rides, rock climbing and more. Summit Skate is Mountasia's roller rink where kids of all ages are welcome to skate. Kids under a certain height will need a parent or guardian on the rink with them.
Rollerworld Northeast
Stephanie W.: Rollerworld NE provides the atmosphere you're looking for when you go to a roller skating rink! Located in North Richland Hills, Rollerworld has cheap skate nights each Wednesday with discounted admission prices, open skate times Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and inexpensive skate lessons on Saturday mornings. They also have skate trainers available for rent, and parents are allowed to walk next to their skating children on the rink (in socks) as they learn how to skate. It's a great place to take the whole family!
Cost: $3-$6 admission, $4 skate rental, $5 skate trainer rental.
Rollerland West
Stephanie W.: Rollerland West in Fort Worth has three days a week of public skate times, as well as several days a week available for private party rental! In addition to a great skating rink, Rollerland offers a snack bar with treats like nachos, pizza and hot dogs, as well as an arcade!
Cost: $4/Wednesdays, $7.50/Fridays and Saturdays. Prices include skate rental. Inline skates and skate trainers available for additional fee.
