Rock Climbing for Kids in Columbus
We've built a Rock Climbing For Kids Guide to help Columbus reach new heights! Climbing is a fun and unique kid-friendly sport to practice problem solving, all the while further developing mental and core physical strength. It also happens to be really satisfying to conquer!! Rock out for a day, or sign up for a weekly camp. You can even host a rock climbing birthday party. Either way, enjoy the sweet view from the top!
Lifetime Fitness - Indoor Rock Climbing for the Family
Hannah Scott: Lifetime Fitness offers classes, birthday parties, and open climb hours on their state-of-the-art indoor rock climbing wall. All equipment is provided, and coaches are available to ensure safety, fun, and success for the whole family.

Scioto Audubon Metro Park Climbing Gym
Hannah Scott: We already knew the Columbus Metro Parks were a gem of this city, but the FREE outdoor rock climbing opportunity at Scioto Audubon is just beyond cool! Three towers, two arches, and a main climbing wall are 35 feet tall and span over 6,000 square feet. Not too shabby! Choose from bouldering, top rope, and lead climbing.
Note: Auto belays are provided, but you'll need to bring your own harness.

Vertical Adventures
Hannah Scott: Vertical Adventures is a 16,000 square foot climbing gym offering classes, open gym, and fitness opportunities. You'll find bouldering, top rope and lead climbing, and auto belays. For younger families, a training center is also available down the street with classes geared toward much younger climbers.
Age: all ages with adult supervision

Tom W. Davis Climbing Center
Hannah Scott: The Ohio State University boasts an Outdoor Adventure Center complete with a climbing wall that is available for drop-in use by members of the community. Meant for all experience levels, the 4,000 square foot climbing space includes 25 top-rope routes, 8 lead routes, and bouldering opportunities as well.

Kinetic Columbus
Hannah Scott: Kinetic is a professional-level climbing gym with a passion for bringing more people into the sport! Classes, birthday parties, memberships, and open gym hours are offered so you can choose which option gives your family the most bang for your buck.
Age: 14+ (younger children are welcome at parents' discretion)
Cost: $20/day (membership options available)
