Kid-Friendly Outdoor Summer Concerts Around Boston

Kick back and relax in one of Spectacle Island’s Adirondack chairs as you take in harbor views and enjoy the sounds of talented up-and-coming artists from Berklee College of Music.

Enjoy summer nights with Abington Summer Concerts. Music varies weekly and features a lineup of artists performing classic and current hits.

Head to The Green for MarketStreet Minis — a kids’ series filled with movement, magic, music, and more. From interactive sing-alongs and bubble parties to puppet shows and pop-up play, each week brings something fun to keep your minis giggling, grooving, and totally entertained.

Celebrate Summer in Swampscott with the Swampscott by the Sea Concert Series! Great music, food truck, and beer garden!

6-8 pm

Gather on the banks of the Charles River and enjoy performances from Boston's finest musicians at the Boston Landmarks Orchestra's summer concerts at the Hatch Shell.

These free events feature music, fun performances, arts and crafts, free snacks, and more.

Concerts in the Courtyard series will run from June to August with performances in the McKim Building Courtyard (inclement weather location: the Rabb Lecture Hall).

Tucked inside the MFA’s Calderwood Courtyard, this series is a summer music tradition showcasing the hottest, most diverse acts from Boston and around the globe.

Derby St Shops hosts weekly kids activities outdoors on The Green throughout the summer. Depending on the week, there will be kids concerts, singalongs, crafts, classes and more. Tickets are required for all children.

MEMO will host a series of summer concerts, showcasing a variety of music for people of all ages at the Gazebo in the center of Town next to the Public Library. People attending these family-friendly concerts often picnic on the grass while listening to the music. MEMO member Chubs Ice Cream truck will be available for treats.

6-8 pm

The Hanover Parks and Recreation Department brings family-friendly entertainment to Forge Pond Park throughout the summer with its Sunday Concert Series. Be sure to bring your chairs and blankets and grab a spot on the lawn. Dinner, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.
