Kid-Friendly Outdoor Summer Concerts Around Boston

Head to The Green for MarketStreet Minis — a kids’ series filled with movement, magic, music, and more. From interactive sing-alongs and bubble parties to puppet shows and pop-up play, each week brings something fun to keep your minis giggling, grooving, and totally entertained.

Bring your chairs and blankets for a series of free summer concerts for families in the park behind the Tufts Library. They have a Summer Concert Series as well as Children's Concerts throughout the summer!

MEMO will host a series of summer concerts, showcasing a variety of music for people of all ages at the Gazebo in the center of Town next to the Public Library. People attending these family-friendly concerts often picnic on the grass while listening to the music. MEMO member Chubs Ice Cream truck will be available for treats.

Concerts in the Courtyard series will run from June to August with performances in the McKim Building Courtyard (inclement weather location: the Rabb Lecture Hall).

The Trustees will celebrate the summer solstice with a family-friendly picnic on Planter's Hill on World's End. Pack up your dinner or grab something from one of the featured food trucks, bring your blankets and chairs, and settle in a spot for a breathtaking view and sunset. The Aldous Collins Band will perform live music. Pre-registration is required.

Derby St Shops hosts weekly kids activities outdoors on The Green throughout the summer. Depending on the week, there will be kids concerts, singalongs, crafts, classes and more. Tickets are required for all children.

The Hanover Parks and Recreation Department brings family-friendly entertainment to Forge Pond Park throughout the summer with its Sunday Concert Series. Be sure to bring your chairs and blankets and grab a spot on the lawn. Dinner, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.
