Kids can experiment with a wide variety of materials - clay, paint, collaging, and mixed materials, while their parent oversees, and maybe even jumps in on the fun! They will make a different project in each class.

In terms of bonding and communication, adults can learn a lot too! Storyplays are open to all, but most appropriate for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.
The Academy of Natural Sciences - Paleo Playdates
Shila: The Academy of Natural Sciences is a leading natural history museum and a kid-friendly favorite Philly museum. Signature exhibits include a Butterfly Garden, Outside In Discovery Center, and an impressive Dinosaur Hall.
Paleo Playdates is a preschool party for budding scientists! Each week there will be new stories, hands-on activities, crafts, exploration time, and a weekly special guest.
Arden Drama School - Bookworms Class
Erin P.: Arden Theatre offers a great parent and me class for tots, called Bookworms. In this class, they will read a book together and use theatre games, music and dance to act out the story. Kiddos will love this opportunity to bring some of their favorite characters to life! All classes are held at the Hamilton Family Arts Center. Classes run in eight-week sessions. Payment is per class, not per session, so you can choose to come to all eight classes or sign up just for those that fit your schedule and budget.

Art in the Pod - Mommy, Daddy and Me Art Class
Sue Krawitz Tandoc: Art in the Pod features Mommy, Daddy and Me Art Class in 10-week sessions throughout the year. You and your child will learn, create and explore together famous artists and styles while using a variety of art materials. Each week has a unique theme which is taught with stories, music and various art activities. Children will hone fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination while creating art masterpieces that you will cherish and display in your home. Check their current schedule for dates and times. Classes are one hour.
My Little Adventures Learn & Play Cafe
Shila: This is a bright indoor playground with age-appropriate toys, slides, climbers, a cafe serving a variety of healthy snackables (most only for one, two or three dollars!), enrichment classes and more. Check the schedule for open Pop-n-Play.
Classes are held in Art, Music, and Movement, all of which are broken into developmental age groups. These fun, 45 min classes occur on weekdays and weekends. And, unlimited Pop-n-Play is included with all enrollment!
