2025 Milwaukee Summer Camps (Gathering Reviews)

Marquette's summer basketball camp is led and supported by the university's head coach, as well as some current and former Marquette players. Age-appropriate basketball skills are taught, developed and encouraged through a series of training stations and practice drills - and campers play at least 2 games a day.

Science projects for kids can range from green glowing liquid, messages written in secret code, autonomous robots, mystery substances, etc.! Kids also delve into STEM-based subjects such as archaeology and fossils, aerospace engineering and NASA, chemistry, and more. Mad Science camps are held at multiple locations and community centers throughout Milwaukee.

At Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, campers can play, explore, and make discoveries on 185 acres of woodlands, prairies, ponds, wetlands, and the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline.

Elite Sports Club offers summer sports camp for kids at different Milwaukee area locations. Each session is focused on fun and fitness, where kids will enjoy a wide variety of indoor and outdoor sports and activities in a safe and fun environment. Camp is open to both club members and non-members.

Lynden’s art and nature camps are organized around themes that investigate our relationship to nature and enable campers to learn through making. Each camp introduces a range of imaginative experiences, materials, and tools. Working on projects individually and as a team, they'll be recording their discoveries in prints, collages, and sculptures.

Gymnastics Summer Camp at Infinite Gymnastics can include gymnastics, free-time, forts, crafts, games, outdoor activities and more! Registering for a single day at camp day is an option, too.

Summer classes and camps at the Milwaukee County Zoo are educational and fun. Kids are introduced to conservation, wildlife and nature - and the camps feature a lot of hands-on learning. Camp options are offered for toddlers with a parent, kids, and teens.

Fashion Academy is a week-long camp for young adults interested in learning the ins and outs of the fashion industry. Explore careers in fashion, trend forecasting, sewing, fashion photography, styling and much more.

Boys and girls learn the fundamentals of basketball while creating good sportsmanship skills and understanding the importance of teamwork at Milwaukee Bucks Basketball Camps. With camp dates and locations all throughout the Milwaukee area, you have many options to find a Bucks sports camp near you. Sunset Playhouse offers exciting theater camps that will engage your kid's imagination while honing their acting skills. Different camps can offer lessons in musical theater, acting, singing, Shakespeare, choreography and dancing. Each session builds to either a full performance or a short showcase.

Each day begins with a nature walk around the park, and throughout the day, campers will experience age-appropriate nature, science/engineering, and fine arts classes. Each day will also have a special guest presentation featuring experts and artists from the area. They sprinkle in fun activities, games, and break times outside to enjoy the weather and the nearby playground.

Riveredge Kids experience the best of outside camp life from fort building to tree climbing, swimming, tubing, trailblazing and more. There are a variety of nature day camps to select from, all of which are divided by age range. Immersive overnight options are available, too. These excursions take older campers on exciting outdoor pursuits, this year kids can go to Isle Royale National Lakeshore! Members receive discounts.

Overnight option

Young artists can create masterpieces in Otto's Art Academy's Summer Art Camps, using a variety of mediums: drawing, painting, ceramics, crafts, DIY fun, textiles, etc. The last day of art camp will showcase an art gallery for friends and family.

Located on the shores of Lake Amy Belle, just 30 minutes from Milwaukee, YMCA Camp Minikani offerings range from traditional day programs and overnight camps to equestrian camp and backpacking trips for older youth. Experiences feature: water sports and recreation, art, music, rock walls, campfires and more. Teens might be especially interested in Explorers camps, which include backpack trips in Wisconsin, and Expedition Camp, where campers fly to Denver for a 2-week hiking and rafting trip in the Rocky Mountains.

Overnight option

Camp Mikani offers family camps throughout the year, giving families a chance to enjoy the weekend together in a peaceful, natural setting. Camp Minikani staff will do all the cooking, cleaning and planning, so you and your family can enjoy the various activities they offer on the shores of Amy Belle Lake.
