On December 31st, the Museum will open its doors at 11:30 to prepare for its annual “Ringing in the New Year with Pip the Mouse.” There will be party hats and noisemakers, juice and cookies, and of course, showings of “Pip: The Mouse Before Christmas.”

Enjoy live music, food concessions, a cash bar for adults, and have the chance to fire a Gun Salute. Proceeds go to the on-going restoration of the Battleship, a non-profit museum and memorial.

The event includes goodie bags for all kids under 12, one coupon to redeem a free s’mores kit for all kids under 12 and access to live music and entertainment and PEEPS® sampling stations.

The event concludes with a 4'9" tall, 400 pound PEEPS® Chick Drop on New Year's Eve.

Erin P. said:  The Mushroom Festival and Kennett Area Restaurant and Merchant Association are excited to host Midnight in the Square to help you ring in the new year! Families with young children might enjoy watching as they raise the lighted mushroom 100 feet above the center of State and Union Streets a few hours before the official new year. There will be a laser light show and musical entertainment. Restaurants and some shops in Kennett Square will be open throughout the event.
