2025 Indianapolis Summer Camps (Gathering Reviews)

iD Tech Summer Camps, held at Butler University, are summer technology programs that teach kids and teens coding, game development, robotics, and more! With small class sizes and the use of the latest and greatest technology, campers will gain skills that will last long after the summer.

Your child can expect guest speakers, field trips and interesting workshops, as well as assistance with their creative writing from college students and collegiate professors. Subjects include poetry, screenplays, narratives, song lyrics, graphic novels, and more!

Kids will explore many different activities throughout the day including sports and fitness, games, crafts, swim lessons, field trips and special guests. Add enrichment activities to your child's day to allow them to explore their individual interests.

The Summer Zoo Camps take campers behind the scenes to explore how the zoo works and lets them help take care of animals. Camps are customized by age and have different themes weekly.

Butler Bulldog Soccer Camp provides a quality curriculum focused on skill development and sportsmanship. The Full Day Camp is great for beginner/recreational level players while the Elite Full Day Camp caters to the more advanced travel players.

JCC Indianapolis offers day camps and sports summer camps for kids. Campers will receive individual attention from experienced instructors and work on skill development, teamwork, creativity and have fun! The sport camps include equestrian and tennis camp.

Newfields offers fun and educational art camps for kids! Campers can visit internationally recognized permanent collections, exciting exhibitions, an early twentieth century estate, and an outdoor art and nature park. They will also experiment with traditional and non-traditional materials, make a portfolio of work to take home, and share their work with your family during an end-of-the-week exhibition. Register early as camp tends to fill up quickly!

Kids can learn French, Mandarin, Spanish and Arabic at a beginner or intermediate level with lessons and hands-on activities. No prior language experience is required.

If your kiddo loves chess, coding, robotics, writing, brain games or strategic thinking, then this summer camp has a place for them! Sycamore School hosts gifted students during the school year, but opens up to all kids who want to learn over the summer. They offer a wide variety of unique camps to choose from! In addition to learning, there will be plenty of play time and recess.

A Sewing Studio in West Carmel offers sewing camps for kids. Campers will make tote bags, water bottle holders, fun pillows, drawstring backpacks, skirts, plushies, blankets and more! The Sewing Machine Basics prerequisite is included for new campers.

Campers spend a week enjoying quality time with adoptable dogs and cats as well as fostered camp critters (like rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, ferrets, and chinchillas). They help with facilities upkeep and enjoy animal enrichment activities, arts & crafts, and staff-led activities. They'll experience both hard work and play!

At First Start Computer Science Camp, campers will gain the skills necessary to design and create their own applications. Sample camps include Minecraft & Roblox Adventure Games and Python & Scratch Code Wizards Camp.

At this 1 week camp, your child will enjoy riding lessons and learning about safety, grooming and horse care! There will be plenty of games, a scavenger hunt, and water play.

This summer arts camp for kids allows them to explore drawing, painting, clay, and drama - or a mix of these!

The NAYR Foundation summer program offers hands-on STEM camps with a focus on aviation. Camp options range from introductions to STEM and aviation to more advanced offerings for kids with an interest in aviation careers.
