On weekends, all ages can attend the Titanic Dinner Gala where costumed actors reenact those iconic upper class parties. See menu online. The Melting Pot

     (803.5 mi)

Kristy Pepping:  The Melting Pot is a fun restaurant that serves fondue. Typical meals usually start with a cheese fondue, followed by the main course of fish or meat and finally, everyone's favorite, a chocolate fondue with dessert items. There is also a kid's menu featuring the same menu but smaller portions. Plus, there are some kiddie cocktails like Very Berry Lemonade and Coop's Cherry Luau an orange and mango punch.

    American Girl Bistro

     (804.3 mi)

Kristy Pepping:  If your child is crazy about dolls, a stopover at American Girl Bistro is the perfect spot. The bistro is inside the American Girl store so you can shop before or after you eat. Once you sit down, you will be greeted with a chair for each of the dolls dining in. Also, there are Table Topics on the table for kids and parents to ask each other. Plus, the dolls get little teacups, plates and napkin ties that double as doll hair ties. If your child does not have a doll, the café will let you borrow one for the meal. And if you are celebrating a birthday, you can upgrade and receive goody bags. There's also plenty of smaller events, too, like Cupcake Decorating.

    Rainforest Cafe

     (808.6 mi)

Kristy Pepping:  Although there are two Rainforest Cafes in the Orlando area, one is inside Animal Kingdom and therefore will require a park entry fee. If you are looking to not spend the park entry fee, head to Rainforest Cafe at Disney Springs. This location offers a rainforest-themed restaurant complete with lush trees and colorful animated animals and sounds. The whole family will feel like they are in the jungle. The food is typical American style consisting of steaks, pastas and salads, as well as a kids menu of course.

Kristy Pepping:  The T Rex Cafe is an interactive restaurant complete with life-sized dinosaurs, woolly mammoths and meteor showers. There is also an octopus bar with moving tentacles and jellyfish. After you order your food, head to the gift shop for a dinosaur souvenir or the Paleo Zone. The Paleo Zone is a kids' play area with educational exhibits, a sand pit to dig for fossils and a creek containing cool gems for kids to study. The menu features typical American fare like pastas and burgers. There is also a dedicated kid's menu.

    The Boathouse Orlando

     (808.7 mi)

    Price

    $125/ amphicar tour

Kristy Pepping:  Many times when you are on vacation with the kids, the adults are looking for food other than larger sizes of what can be found on the kid's menu. The Boathouse offer waterfront dining and a great seafood menu of oysters, crab and calamari sure to be hit. Of course, if you or the kids are not seafood lovers, there are sandwiches, fries and burgers. This themed restaurant offers tours in a combination of a boat/car called an Amphicar which can be driven on land or glide on water. Take a tour either before or after you eat!

    Capone's Dinner and Show
    Pin

     (812.3 mi)

    Price

Starting at $45.99/ child, $69.99/ adult

Kristy Pepping:  Normally a dinner theatre may not be suitable for kids, but Capone's Dinner and Show is touted as a great place to dine for kids aged two to adults who are 92. There is a buffet style dinner served during the show consisting of salad, pasta and a meat carving station with smoked turkey, ham, pork tenderloin and more. And there is dessert too! The show is generally silly and they do offer reviews from fellow parents on their site so you can use your best judgment on if it is the right stop for your family.

     (813.7 mi)

    Price

Starting at $36.95/ child, $64.95/ adult

Kristy Pepping:  If your kids enjoy horseback riding, princesses and sword fights, they will love a trip to Medieval Times for your next dinner out. While the family feasts on dinner, you'll be entertained by princes fighting it out in the ring on real horses to win the princess over. Plus, the show and dinner all take place in a replica 11th-century castle. Dinner consists of roasted chicken meals, cornbread, potatoes, pastries and more. Everyone will also get a colored crown and sit in a section to root their knight on for the win.
