Family Friendly Festivals Around Philadelphia

Taco fans will unite at the Delaware Taco Festival for a fun weekend of food, entertainment, family fun and more. Over 25 of Delaware's favorite restaurants and food trucks will serve up over 50 varieties of tacos and other Mexican-themed specialties. There is also live music, carnival games, a Kids Zone with bounce houses, prizes, giveaways, Giant Nacho Bar, Eating Contests, adult beverages and much more.

Due to the larger size in fireworks, a wider safety perimeter surrounding the discharge zone is required. As such, Sutcliffe Park and surrounding areas will be closed to the public during the event.

Kids can explore dinosaur skeletons, a tropical butterfly garden, visit the discovery center or even watch scientists work in Science Live or the Fossil Prep Lab. Every year they host Bug Fest. This is a chance for kids to talk with real scientists, learn about insects from all over the world, and see specimens from the Academy’s behind-the-scenes collections. You can even eat bugs! There will also be face painting and an opportunity to enjoy a show featuring you guessed it bugs!
