Cut-Your-Own Christmas Tree Farms Near Columbus

Katie G.:  Located in North Columbus, near Alum Creek State Park, Fly A Way Farm opens one weekend a season for you-cut trees. Upon entering the farm, you will be greeted by an employee who will provide you with a saw and parking directions. After selecting the perfect tree, enjoy a hayride around the farm, complimentary hot chocolate and cookies. The farm provides saws, tree shaking, tree drilling and tree bags to get your tree home. Kids can enjoy a candy cane, hot chocolate or cider in the warm, cozy cabin. Visit the gift shop for fresh wreaths, tree stands, and more.

Katie G.:  Driving through the country in Sunbury, you can't miss the Taylor Tree Farm. Look for the big, red caboose and the field of cut-your-own Christmas trees. Before heading out into the field for a memorable family experience, grab a saw to cut the perfect tree and a sled to bring it back. The staff will provide tree baling, making it easier to get back home. Afterwards, warm up in the big, red caboose and snap some holiday photos.

There are thousands of trees to choose from and guests are welcome to choose any tree with a price tag that is ready for harvest. Be sure to visit the Timbuk Lodge after selecting the perfect tree. Enjoy a glass of hot chocolate from the snack shop, visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus at select times on weekends, shop for holiday decor in the gift shop or relax by the fire.

Katie G.:  Located in Utica, about an hour outside of Columbus, Woodridge Tree Farm is a family-owned and operated tree farm with over 25 years of experience. The tree farm offers a large selection spruce, pine, hemlock and fir trees. Visitors are welcome to use a cart and saw provided at the farm to cut their own. Tree-shaking, baling and twine are available to help transport your tree home. Kids can visit Santa on select weekend days during the season.
