This is a great museum to explore any time of year, with plenty of indoor conservation-based exhibits to complement the beautiful outdoor sanctuary. Kids especially love the bright and warm Butterfly Haven, interactive RiverWorks water play area and indoor playground.

This museum is a gem. We love the water play area, and the rotating exhibits are great.

The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum is geared towards kids, with hands-on exhibits. However, grown-ups will enjoy the museum as well! It is located in Lincoln Park. The museum's must see attraction is the beautiful butterfly haven, where over 1,000 butterflies from 40 species and several types of birds fly all around you. Don't be surprised if a butterfly lands right in your hand!
