Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park
The park’s playground offers a climbing structure, monkey bars and large sandbox. During the summer months, run through the sprinklers or spread out and have a picnic in the open green space.
Boston, MAMayor Thomas M. Menino Park
This special Charlestown playground features inclusive play equipment across rubber ground. There are roller slides, a seesaw, climbing structures, swings and a merry-go-round with room for wheelchairs, giving kids of all abilities the opportunity for play.
Charlestown, MAParis Street Playground
This space-themed community playground in East Boston has a cool solar system splash pad, challenging rope climbing structure, preschool play equipment and hopscotch. Solar charging benches allow you to charge up your phone while watching the kids.
East Boston, MACastle Island Playground
Castle Island makes a great day trip destination and there's a large playground with a climbing structure, sliding pole, slides, monkey bars and more. In the summer you can swim at Pleasure Bay. The water is clean and calm enough for kids to enjoy safely. After you're done playing, grab some food at Sullivan's and watch the planes take off and land at nearby Logan Airport.
Boston, MA
Nantasket Beach Reservation
Amanda Banta said: The playground at Nantasket Beach has become one of my favorites in the last few years. It has slides, big kid and infant swings, climbing structures and more in its location right on the boardwalk. It is enclosed on three sides, which helps parents to keep track of multiple kids and little escape artists, and there are benches on the fourth side, creating a barrier between the park and the boardwalk. The playground is steps away from the bathhouse and is close to food, ice cream and kid-friendly activities in the area.
