The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center
Stephanie W.: Woodlands Township has set up an ice rink for the holiday season! Their 21,000-square-foot multipurpose facility has ice skating with lighting, a sound system, and tables for families to take a break and enjoy hot chocolate!
Cost: Weekends- $12.50/Age 6+, $6/Ages 5 and under. Weekdays- $10.50/Ages 6+, $5/Ages 5 and under. All costs include 2 hours of skate rental.
Moody Gardens
Stephanie W.: Typically known for its beaches, Galveston'sMoody Gardens goes a whole new direction with the only outdoor ice rink on the island! In addition, you can enjoy a mile-long stretch with over a million Christmas lights around Moody Gardens Property.

Discovery Green - The ICE
Stephanie W.: Discover the ICE at Discovery Green, Houston's only outdoor skating rink. This opportunity is too good to pass up in Texas. They'll be open on all winter holidays, so you can enjoy viewing the lights of downtown on Christmas Day from the rink, too. They even have The ICE Box- a separate, smaller rink for skater below the age of 4. Certain days offer discounted pricing for couples, as well as discounted mulled wine. Other events are family-oriented and themed for kids!
Aerodrome Ice Skating Complex
Stephanie W.: The Aerodome has over 1,000 pairs of skates for rental- that's a lot of skates! Daily public sessions are offered, as well as evening sessions where you might hear country or jazz music, on a given night, with a special effects lighting system! Walkers and skating aids in the shape of seals and penguins will make skating for your little ones even more fun!

Ice at the Galleria Houston

You'll also find Learn to Skate Programs for all ages and skill levels, offered in 8-week blocks. Bring the kids along for a shopping trip and they'll love hopping over to the skating rink for a spin!
Cost: $19/Age 6+, $17/Age 5 and under & military. Includes skate rental.
Ice Skate Memorial City Mall

Sugarland Ice
Stephanie W.: Sugarland Ice & Sports Center has weekend and weekday public skating sessions offered all year, so you can always get your ice skating fix! In addition to these public skate times, you can also find Learn to Skate Lessons offered regularly for your young ones starting out. Hockey leagues and broomball opportunities are also available!
