Fashion Outlets of Chicago’s visitors are invited to ring in the Year of the Snake with a Lunar New Year kickoff event in its Food Court on Saturday, January 25, beginning at 1 p.m. Visitors can enjoy a variety of games and activities including lantern crafting, dumpling making, Chinese calligraphy, Chopstick Challenge and more. Macerich's Fashion Outlets of Chicago invites visitors to celebrate the holiday season with Santa visits at the shopping center from Friday, November 15 through Tuesday, December 24. While visits with Santa are always free, Fashion Outlets of Chicago will also offer a variety of keepsake photo packages available for purchase. Pet owners can bring their leashed furry friends to take part in Pet Nights every Monday evening from November 18 through December 2 from 4 to 7 p.m., and Fashion Outlets will host its "Santa Cares” sensory-friendly Santa experience on Sunday, December 8 from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to shopping center opening. Along with traditional photos with Santa, this year, Fashion Outlets of Chicago will host a variety of themed days for families to make their Santa experience even more special including Pajama Party Tuesdays, Baby’s First Wednesdays and Ugly Sweater Thursdays.

Macerich’s Fashion Outlets of Chicago invites children with special needs and their families for “Santa Cares,” a sensory-friendly Santa experience on Sunday, December 8 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Taking place prior to shopping center opening, “Santa Cares” will be carefully managed to accommodate guests with autism and other special needs, including necessary environmental adjustments to meet guests’ sensory challenges. Advance registration is required for this private photo experience.

On the third Saturday of each month, families are invited to Madame Zuzu’s Matinee at Wayfarer Theaters, a family-friendly screening and accompanying activity put on in partnership with Highland Park’s Madame Zuzu’s Tea Shop and Art Studio. In this month’s edition, guests can enjoy an interactive ocean experience and submarine craft station before a screening of “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.” Tickets can be purchased for $15.
